This past weekend my husband and I enjoyed one of those meandering Saturday outings that went from early afternoon to well after dark. Inspired by the beautiful weather we decided to head down to the Beaches for hand-crafted ice cream. I had two gorgeous scoops of Italian gelato, lemon and raspberry ice. We walked along the boardwalk, cones in hand, and watched people and their dogs go by. The afternoon slowly turned into evening and after dinner on a patio, we caught a movie. On the walk home Michael and I stopped into my favourite bookstore – open until midnight on Saturdays – to browse through the shelves of rare and vintage books. I picked up this copy of Walt Disney’s Mary Poppins A Jolly Holiday. It’s an original 1969 Little Golden Book in almost perfect condition. Just delightful.
