One of the most unforgettable experiences at Walt Disney World Resort is the Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s hard to imagine, but every square inch of the impressive attraction was designed and landscaped by Disney Imagineers.
The African animals roam across a spectacular 100-acre savanna, just gleaming. It’s very clear that the care of each beautiful creature is taken very seriously. Together with the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund, through research, education and funding, Disney’s Animal Kingdom also helps to support animals in their natural habitats around the world.
Giraffes stop for refreshment. They were magnificent to watch!
The Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom offers one of the most extraordinary experiences anywhere. No two trips through the savanna are ever alike.
Two White rhinos – Nande and Hasani – born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom travelled to the Ziwa Sanctuary in Uganda in 2006, to help re-establish a white rhino population that has been extinct there since 1982. Nande has since given birth to two calfs, including the first female calf to be born in Uganda in more than 30 years!
