A visit to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort isn’t complete without a stop at Kona Island. By day this lovely island bar offers pastries and coffee, by night Kona Island transforms into a sushi bar with made-to-order sashimi and sushi, paired with wine and Japanese Sake. The bar atmosphere is casual and informal – and makes for great conversation. Michael and I were excited to try the Volcano Roll – Spicy Tuna Lau’ai with Tempura Crunch and the Shrimp Tempura Roll – Tempura Shrimp and fresh Mango served with Lilikoi sauce. Delicious!
