GOODBYE TO THE FOUNTAIN OF NATIONS AT EPCOT

Between the bygone pavilions of Future World East and West, in the centre of Innoventions Plaza was the beautiful Fountain of Nations. The fountain was a signature Epcot feature, entertaining and delighting guests since the park’s opening in 1982. My husband and I adored this fountain. It was always our first stop for photos whenever we’d visit Epcot.

Containing over 108,000 gallons of swirling water with 30,000 gallons cascading it’s tiered walls every minute, the fountain’s sound was distinctly pleasing. Every fifteen minutes the Fountain of Nations would perform a water ballet synched to music, sending streams of water 150 feet into the air. With Fountain View Starbucks nearby, it was the perfect spot to relax with a coffee, watch the show and enjoy the soothing sound of flowing water.

* Future Work East and West, Innoventions Plaza, Fountain of Nations and Fountain View Starbucks were retired in 2019 and will be officially replaced by World Celebration Pavilion.
