From the first moment I saw images of Castaway Cay, I was in love and dreaming of a Disney Cruise. My husband and I had our first voyage on the Disney Dream in 2013 and with our second cruise on the horizon we have so many experiences to look forward to. Sailing as a couple aboard the Dream makes it effortless to focus on the elegance and romance of the ship. Though Disney characters abound, there is also enough sophistication for a perfect getaway. Here are my top five things for two to do on a Disney Cruise:
One of my favourite adult exclusive experiences aboard the Dream is Quiet Cove. It’s an oasis of sunshine and relaxation away from the bustle of Mickey’s Pool. The tropical sound of steel drums fills the air and attentive servers make sure that a refreshing cocktail is never more than a moment away. It’s a wonderful way to spend the afternoon together.
A deluxe stateroom with verandah is definitely one of the luxuries of a Disney Cruise. Indulge in room service for morning coffee or a late evening bite and bask in the gorgeous ocean view – for two.
I love to dress for dinner and Palo offers just the right backdrop. The decor of this adult exclusive restaurant is plush and luxurious with spectacular views of the ocean. The food, wine and service at Palo are exceptional. It’s a romantic and elegant night out.
With sophisticated surroundings and a list of exotic martinis, Skyline is the perfect after dinner spot for two. My husband and I loved this secluded lounge.
Serenity Bay can feel like a tropical paradise for two. This adult exclusive area on Castaway Cay has a private stretch of white sand beach, a cocktail bar and open air restaurant. There are also a handful of cabanas available for the day and bike rentals, too. Just heavenly.
